The last year I owned the black car, it had no a/c no heat no p/s, and got to be too much of a race car. Trying to drive a 5 second car around town isn't much fun. Its might be cool to say you have a 5 second street car but its a pain in the ass to drive around. I enjoyed the car more with the small blower and having it a lot more streetable.

street cars are ones that u can actually depend on while drivin on the street. jeff agrees that the last setup was not streetable. just because it has brake lights and turn signals doesnt mean its streetable. i think the NMRA hit the nail on the head with their true street class. if it can run in their class, i would say it is a street car.

Any car that can run in HOT ROD mag's drag week is a street car.

cool, by your standards, i know of a 5.20 car a 5.50 car and an old 5.60 car that could run true street all day long.

if your car can stand up to their rules, than yes, i say it is a street car. but dont think they just go out, drive 30 miles and come back. they sit in traffic and do stop and go traffic. then a 30 min cool down (IIRC) without being able to touch the car, then make a pass. and this includes changing tires. if your car can do that....

brandon, mikes car is not streetable. it can make quick runs around town, but i cant see drivin any long distances with it.
