Yea, an LS1 motor would be pretty fun in it also, plus the LS motors are pretty small in size..

ery basic car really, first thing its 2697lbs with me in it so its not really as light as you would think. All original steel, glass, paint etc. Basic moly cage, factory tubs moved in 100mm along with the leafs, RHS subframe connectors, basic 2 Link and large anti roll bar help the stock leafs (with an extra leaf and reversed ) and shocks (original from 1973 haha). DIfferential is from a toyota hilux and uses a 3.5 ratio and shortened resplined stock axles.

Engine is fairly mild, stock main caps, standard crank and oil pump, crower billet rods and je pistons, mildly ported head with stock inlet valves and 1mm oversize exhaust, has little hks 272 cams in it and runs a Mr Turbo Billet 88mm turbo + 100 shot. Transmission is a powerglide originally sourced from mike transmission in california.

Fuel is ROO16 which i think is equiv to your q16.

I actually managed to break the engine last weekend mucking around on pump fuel, the factory main caps cried enough, broke 3 in total. Now rebuilding for the next event coming up in 2 weeks.

Up to this point i have had the same engine in the car for over 2 years almost maintenance free , got to love the 2jz.
