If you want some interesting racing, make it a DOT tire class. Nothing bigger than 28" tall. (which would be pretty much any radial/DOT except the 315)

No other rules- run whatcha brung. Dorchester is not a radial track, so it would make for some very interesting racing- anyone could win any round against anybody.
Just add NO TURBOS

You open it up to an entirely different class of cars when you allow a 30" tire. Steve Jackson isn't going to show up on 275's, I promise you that. It would probably also take away the chance of close racing. The reason a DOT class would be so good at Dorchester is because Dorchester isn't very radial friendly. It would almost (ALMOST) put everyone on a level playing field when you factor in the chance of spinning the tires. The 315 would take away that equalizer. Unless you are running 4.60's or better, the 315 is overkill anyway. Not to mention, most guys that would be interested in this class can't fit 315's. (I can fit 315's and I have some, so I am not talking about me.)
