Whaler,

Were you the one out there with the nice camera? If so I saw you when I was standing next to David Lincoln's Camaro. I had the black Diamondbacks coaches jacket on. I would like meet some the other guys as well from this forum. This was my first outing with the skinnies up front. My best yesterday was an 8.07 @ 88 mph and still spinning the tires. We took our camera and had dead batteries. I quess that's what you get when you don't check things out before going.

There were 2 people with cameras, Mike and Ray. I had the camcorder and was standing on the back of my Tahoe. The first day after the track opens is always tough on traction.

Thanks for being out there anyways. I don't know alot of people on this forum yet. I live one street over from Jeff. We can hollar at each other from the backyards. I just met Darryl there yesterday. I know Morey and Chris(wtfwsat). Paul I've known since high school. So that's about it. Next time out I'll try and do a better job of getting around to some of our folks. Also Chad who just signed up is an old high school buddy of mine as well.

I was actually happy with the car for the first time out with it . Best pass on motor was 8.11 @ 85mph and best pass on the gas was 7.21 @ 96mph with a 1.57 60ft . The nitrous pass was with the progressive controller on 50% out the gate and ramping in the other 50% in the next 1.5 seconds . I went around to make a pass with all the gas from home but the nitrous never hit . I've had some issues with the arming switch and we think that's the culprit . Overall not bad for only having 3:55 gears in the car . The car really needs some 4:10s in it , it goes into 3rd 50-100 ft before the finish line in the 1/8th . With a little more timing in the car I tihnk it will run right where I want it to 7.xx on motor and 6.8x on the gas .

That all from home pass Jeff made was no switch fault. He had a 2.04 60' because he was afraid to mat it from home.

I am supposed to go to Dorchester with the bucket truck Saturday morning to fix the lights. Hopefully a cut wire was the only damage done by the land clearing company.

Give him time, I'd bet after the he gets the gears and all, it won't be to long before a 2nd stage goes on the car.
