Last nights fight was dissapointing again, Wes Sims put up zero fight. The takedown was downright pitiful, then didn't even try to fight the choke. I'll give it to him that he didn't tap and went to sleep, I will say that Justin looked decent. He moved in for the arm triangle pretty quickly.

Machida pulling out the decision? FUCKING BULLSHIT!
Was Cecil Peeples judging another fight or something. I guess the judges don't count leg strikes for some reason? I like both fighters, but it wasn't even close. Waiting for the Compustrike to be posted. ***EDIT** http://fightmetric.com/fights/Machida-Shogun.html Shogun totally WORKED Machida. This one is quickly going down as one of the most bullshit decisions in the MMA history. Right up there with: -Matt Hamill vs. Bisping -Nick Diaz's beat down of Gomi (later overturned to no conteste because of smoking weed? WTF?). -Aoki vs. JZ I (and a very questionable ref timeout during Aoki vs. Hansen III) The internet is blowing up big time with this one, and rightfully so. I was pulling for Machida to win but he didn't win last night. It was Rua's fight and it was taken away from him. I am not sure how but they got that fight wrong. If Rua did "win" it would be a good fight with him and Silva. I would like to see that fight.

Anybody catch the 106 card? I was pretty disappointed with the Koscheck/Johnson fight. Shenanigans I tell ya. The phantom eye poke that supposedly came from the phantom knee did it all.

Didn't mean to give away any spoilers if you didn't see it. Apparently a lot of people in the area weren't showing it. I had to go to Kickin Chicken in Summerville. I'll give it a week or so for people to catch it.

I didn't watch the fight but read the play by play. Seemed like a good match with no hard feelings at the end, I was personally happy with the outcome.

Yeah...at first it looked like he knee'd him in the right eye. Then he got up clutching his left eye and I was like WTF? After about 5 different angles on the knee shot, it was finally revealed that the knee hit his arm and it was some bogus finger that *might* have grazed his eye? Dunno...there were too many eye pokes and groin strikes on that card.
Little Nog looked great against a very timid Luiz Cane. Looks like we have another contender in the LHW division. He's has about 80% of the ground game as his brother (which is still better than most) but has better hands. Rua Machida Wanderlei Little Nog Thiago Silva Rampage Rashad (hate that dude) Griffin |

lol, what's there to hate about Rashad? He's a bobblehead yes, but it's entertaining.
Your list is about right, considering Rua should be champ right now. I swear sometimes UFC has some WWE shit going on. |

so kimbo won but that was a weak win... i really think it was semi staged... the guys the opponent had fought were no slouch and he worked allot harder... maybe its dana whites way of getting a controversial fighter/internet phenom such as kimbo in the ufc... but wow it looked like a pre set fight.

I didn't catch the show but I can find it online.
Anyone see the fights last night? I knew Cheik Kongo was gonna lose but not so quickly. I was surprised how badly Diego Sanchez got owned. Side note: Clay Guida needs to get off the PCP and learn how to strike. |

Finally got to see the Shane Carwin fight and Shane put an ass wippin on him. I think Brocks chin is suspect and if Cain gets a good one on him I think he can end it. Cain needs to keep it standing up cuz I don't think he has the strength to roll with Brock like I think Carwin could.
Whatever happens, I think Shane has another shot at the title.

i agree shane could have ended it first round.
brock has 1 thing his mass once he is on you u cant do anything. and the fact his hands are like lunch boxes. from the shane fight im not exactly sure if brock has a glas jaw or not. he got rocked by what seemed like average jaw shots(but it could have been ring rust) i havnt seen much on valasquez he dosnt look like he has the octagon presence/size as shane or lesnor..but we will see on that as well. any thoughts on a mir rematch? or if mir will fight again? any ideas on the koschec and gsp?
