Damn I sure did miss a lot, this got crazy quick...

As Kiley said, I would love to see some names posted of said loudmouths, and also what they louded out, since everyone seems to know in such detail.

And as for an arm drop being a ricer's dream, I'm sure that's exactly what the producers/creators of Pinks were thinking whenever they came up with the show. "Man this sure will be great, can't wait to have a bunch of 4-banger ricer retards on the show so we can make some real TV!"

You know you like the idea... Unless you're a quadriplegic that like pretty lights that change color to tell you when to release the button on a trans brake.

I like different, especially when you're doing something as monotonous as driving a car straight down a track and shifting a few gears. It adds another variable which ultimately makes drag racing more of a challenge, and in turn, more fun. For me anyways.

Default DD response to this thread

Hi, guys. I'm Leonard, one of the new owners of the track. Yesterday was my first time ever visitng this site, after being told by a close friend that i needed to see this thread. As a result, today will be my first time posting. As I felt compelled to address the issue at hand.
First and foremost, I would like to apologize for Ryan's unprofessional response and behavior on this board. And state, that we do not condone any such behavior under any circumstances! The issue that is the topic of discussion has been quickly addressed and an immediate course of action has been taken. Starting immediately only track personnel will be allowed in the tower, no exceptions!
From this day forward, only myself (LDELEE) or my cousin (EDELEE) will be posting or making any response on behalf of Dorchester Dragway. Eventhough, Ryan's response was titled DDtower it DOESN'T REFLECT OUR COMMON GOAL AND LONGTERM VISION. It was a personal response from an employee, that we had no idea was being made until someone notified us. We did talk to a few racers yesterday regarding this matter that made a post on the subject. I can assure you, you will see the change taking place and thanks for taking the time to talk to us. Thanks, LDELEE

Good to hear sir.... It's not that we despise your track but it seems to have been neglected for a while.... Tracks don't have to be pretty or huge they just need to work... Take bowman for instance.. hole in the wall but the track works GOOD. I'm not bashing you or the track it would be a wise investment seeing as you are THE closest track around...

Thanks for the professional response. We all want it to be a good track, I for one don't want to have to drive any farther to go to a track.

Default Something for everyone

Forcefed, we are trying to cater to all forms of racing including imports. I know its not to many places for you guy's to go and we definately don't want any racing on the streets. That's why we are trying to establish Saturday Late Night Import racing for you guy's. Help us spread the word if you can.

the best thing yall can do is just get the track working, for us guys on radials its pretty much a waste of time to go to dorchester mainly because we dont know if the track will work or not. I have left straight from bowman on a sunday cutting 1.2x 60's on radials and an hour later at dorchester couldnt do better than a 1.5x. The majorty of us can deal with all the dumb shit (loud music, disorganization, the nastiest bathrooms ever, crowds of people standing in the pits refusing to move, etc.) if the track just worked. Why should racers have to put up with the b/s if the track doesnt even hook. It seems most nights Dorchester is nothing but a night club with a race track that noone cares about.

Not that it really matters to me, and I really don't know the people at SSS, but I was out there in the LTD 4 or so weeks ago, and a guy came up to me, and said he had no idea my car ran 5.90s, and it was a really nice car. All I know is he drove a Honda Civic coupe. I am not a grudge racer and you can pick up a Muscle Mustang and Fast Ford magazine most of the time and see what I run in the quarter, and get a good idea of eighth mile times, hell most people who ask what I run, I will give you the ticket. To a grudge racer silence is of the most importance, and it does matter to them if people know what they run. Most everyone on here knows I have always been pro Dorchester, not that I don't race anywhere else, cause I do. I think Lennie and Junior, have a really big project ahead of them, but they are atleast making an effort to correct things. Keep in mind they wasn't handed a perfect track to start off with, or a big budget, but I believe they are pretty determined to get it back to the hooking / grudge track it use to be. Just give them a chance to get going.

Thanks, for the comment. You hit it right on the head. @1998ta, I understand your concerns and we are working hard to reslove them. Every Sunday I take the time to talk to a few racers in the pits and most have agreed that the traction is improving and they see that we are trying.

Default quotes on improvements

@ Illusions currently we are seeking quotes on our bathroom project. We have recieved several so far and now were making the decision on what type of material and who we want to do the job. Please keep in mind we just had close to a $10k race last week that wasn't put on by a promoter, but the track itself. We wanted to get that behind us then resume on our renovation project.

The best thing you can do is bulldoze the bathroom and put a few portapottys up
