Default Website will be down this weekend.....

Got this from our web hosting company. Expect the website to be down this weekend. Hopefully we will notice the improvements next week, my fingers our crossed.

Dear Michael,
The time for our big Data Center move is quickly approaching and I wanted to give you another update as to how everything is progressing.

We've been very diligent in planning the move of our data center and we're on schedule with all preparations. Our primary target date for the relocation of all servers is the end of next week: Midnight, Friday March 28th. At that time, for a period of up to 48 hours, there will be service unavailability. It is not certain when your account will become unavailable or how fast it will come back up. Please allow ample time for us to make the move safely and securely.

I know I'm asking a lot of you and am truly thankful for your patience. You can expect significant service improvements with this move. It is likely that most accounts will only be down a portion of the allotted 48-hour window.

Once your site is up and online, you can rest confidently knowing that it is hosted in a brand-new high tech Data Center. You don't need to worry about the technicalities, but it's good to know anyway: you'll have a more modern, more redundant and more powerful infrastructure including generators, battery backups and air conditioning. You will be connected via multiple OC-48 fiber-optic lines. At a speed three times our old facility, your sites will be loading faster than ever.

Michael, next week I'll email you again shortly before the move - and I'll have some inspiring pictures as to what your websites can call their new home.

Until then!

I fixed it for you.
You did miss a good one. They already had the pumps primed by the time we got there. No way could Mike, myself or my brother keep up with that group.

Dear Michael,
Our Big Data Center Move Is A Go! As I've been informing you the past few weeks, we will be moving all of our servers to a brand new state-of-the-art facility in Columbus, OH.

The good news is, the first batch of machines have already been relocated and brought online. We've made backups of all our servers and they've been moved to our new data center ahead of time as an extra precaution.

All our preparations are being finalized and we're on schedule to begin the move at Midnight on Friday, March 28th 2008 (ie. early Saturday morning). For a period of 24-48 hours, services will be down.

I can't thank you enough for your patience with our move. So far, the feedback I've received from you has been tremendous and very supportive. I truly appreciate it.

While we've allotted a 48-hour window for this move, we're striving to have all services back online by 9am EST on Sunday morning, or earlier. As soon as everything has been restored, I'll email you again with an update. If you should still be experiencing issues after this time, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Michael, I look forward to serving you from one of the best modern-day privately owned data centers in the industry.
maybe the shit talking will still happen Sunday.

I think it will be ill advised to assume that things will be up and running smoothly Sunday morning/afternoon, but who knows maybe they will get their shit together and have it up by then, I'll be checking it before i leave to go up the track!!!!
