Free 42" tv broken
This is a Magnavox 42" LCD. My 2 year old hit and now the picture is not working. Not sure if anyone could use any parts from it. If not, it is going to the dump.

take it to a local TV fix it shop (one by post office in Summerville) and drop it off
the parts on these go EOL so quick, you can't order repair parts, so they keep the broke ones in hopes of fixing another one.

I used to have a set of Monsoon PM14 computer speakers (great sound, had sort of a cult following after they stopped making them). The volume control had an s-video looking plug that I accidently pulled the pins out of while moving.
So I brought the set to Summerville electronics. He said that he couldn't get the plug, but he should be able to hard wire it. That was fine with me. A week or so later, he calls me back and tells me its fixed and works great. I picked them up and paid him $100. Went home and plugged them in and the volume control did nothing. He set them to max volume, it was extremely loud and distorted. So, I called and told him what it was doing and he told me that he was happy with getting sound to come out of them and that was all he could do. How retarded could this fuck be to charge me $100 for unusable speakers? So, in the trash they went. |
