I think it was a 5.0 in 94. In 96 they went to the modular motors. 4.6 dohc in cobra and sohc in gt.

They came with a 302. Be sure to check the torque boxes for damage.

Like 91notch said, Check the torque boxes.

If the car is clean I do not see where between 6 and 10k would be a bad price. Mainly depends on how well maintained it was. But I have been seeing alot of 94/95 cobras lately selling for around 7500.

If the seller is motivated than try to talk them down. But do not like your emotions pay too much for the car

i know its not a 4.6 car... i just wasnt sure if only the rspec came with the 351 or if it was a 5.0...

again my newbishness of domestics.. check torque box? where is it and what should i be looking at? if their is a problem what signs will i see... im sure their are upgrades so if their is a problem what is the price range on getting it fixed.

it looks like a solid car.. factory paint 2 owner car... with all maintance records and papers associated to work done to car. it has a little spyder cracking on the paint on the front bumper( seems to be normal for those cars..) the black leather int is not ripped or town.. it has some wear/tear but nothing thqat indicates abuse or neglect.

give me some pointers as to things to lok for.

Torque box's are were the upper and lower control arms for the rearend attach to the body...Ck to make sure they are not torn away from the body!!!
Alot of times you will see cracking on the uppers.

94-95 Cobra's came with 5.0, the exception is the 95 Cobra R. It had a 351 in it.

with that said.. is the 99 cobra a better choice a a 4.6dohc motor or is the 5.0 95 cobra a better choice.?

i have a weak spot for a sn95 style..mustang.. id love a saleen in blue or white but they are still to pricey..

i have driven a 99cobra and enjoyed it.. and i have driven a 95gt with some bolt ons..(proably more whp than the one i am looking at..)

seems like the one i am looking at is stock stock.. just offroad pipes and a bbk intake. its clean from what i can see.
hear are a few pics what do u think?

this picture im no sure what the rust is on the strut area.. looks like something was removed

There is quite a bit of rust in that engine bay. I'd take another look at the undercarriage before even thinking about pulling the trigger on that thing. Look over the motor to see if any freeze plugs are rusted, because that will end up giving you a shitty day

It is a shame that they took the original tail lights out of it! The cobra emblem on the back also wasn't there from the factory. I prefer the 5.0 engines over the mod motors.

It looks like there was a strut tower brace installed and at some point removed.
