My car over the last 4 1/2 years
Well I bought this car in November of 2005 from a guy in Summerville... it had 90k miles on it along with a "built transmission" and a fresh 355 w/ new GM heads on it. His daughter had been driving it for a few years and ended up over heating, which led to the rebuild.
I drove the car for a year or so before I started to tear into it, even though it was my DD. I figured I would share some pictures that I have collected over the last few years.... Here is the car when I first bought it After a good thorough detail How about that built transmission? It sure didn't last. Collecting parts for the cam Added the ZR1's More goodies Ported and coated intake Getting ghetto in the ghetto... this is why my neighbors hate me This is what took out the motor

One day at work I decided I wanted to repaint the roof of the car... well that led to a bit more as you can see.
After all the prep, slick sand, and wet sanding I left the car with my painter on a friday night around 10pm... I came into work around 8am to find this.

As you can see, I sold the race car hood and got something more practical.
Here are a few of the most recent additions to the car. Calendar shot for LS1tech.com and how it sits now. For those of you who don't know about my motor set up, It's a forged 12.8:1 cam only motor with bone stock heads on it. I put the motor together to take 200+ worth of gas. It's also got a 4L60E built by MonteC and a 3800ish converter from Cameron at TCS. I don't think I could have come this far without the help of those involved over the past few years... I know it's not much, but it keeps me busy and should be pretty nasty down the road. I have to get the rear end sorted out and then I might add some heads by the end of the year.

I wondered how long it would take before a Lisa comment popped up.
Anyway, nice to see how far the car has come. Nice work, Matt.

Thanks guys! I have learned a lot with the POS LT1, but I guess it holds it's own. One day I will get one of them new LS1 motors!
