my boat

2004 17ft action craft
2008 175 optimax
Hydraulic Jack
shitty trolling motor
boat runs 72mps on GPS with 0 trim. i touch trim i bang alarms for rev limiter/low water pickup.

if i ever reprop and get LWP it should run 80. i like gettin to the fishin spots fast!

svtguy 04-15-2013 05:23 AM

I do slay some cobia. and the season starts in days.. saw the broad river bridge loaded this past weekend. dont think one was caught yet though. water temp still needs 2-3 more degrees imo. the bait pods havent showed up yet also.

Greg anderson aka soccerspike is our local charter fishing expert.

I bet that thing would be faster than 80 with a LWP and a good prop. Nice boat.

Ive had decent luck with largemouth so far this year.

svtguy 04-15-2013 10:41 AM

damn my man.. nice bass! but im a saltwater kinda guy.. i like the spottail bass! you using live or artificials for them largemouths? that a private pond?

matt you think the hull will do 80+mph? it gets little iffy at 65-72 with the lift/dog walk feeling.

98nbmz 04-15-2013 10:43 AM

Top two were in a private pond. Other two on the lower lake. All artificial baits.

svtguy 04-15-2013 10:47 AM

thats from a little beach off edisto island a couple years ago. first cast caught a 36". we use mullet and shrump. haven't had any luck this year yet. like you said, think the water temps need to come up some.

Matts94Z28 04-15-2013 11:40 AM

You've got the power to run 80 IMO. You will just need to be brave to drive through the chine walk. I am still working on that with mine... lol

BigdaddyDupree 04-15-2013 12:07 PM

If you really want a good time ask 98nbmz (Austin) how to jump a fence!

98nbmz 04-15-2013 12:26 PM

If you would like to know how not to smuggle pot across the state Big daddy Dupree is your man!

lol matt reads a couple boat threads, buys a slow boat now hes an expert. If you drive your boat like your car..the poor thing will never go fast.

Bitch I grew up in boats faster than you "ride in". The only thing fast you've experience is your balding pattern. Definitely not that Z28 you had in 2001.

Love ya.

chrisheltra 04-17-2013 10:35 AM

Haha ouch

Matts94Z28 04-17-2013 10:45 AM

You've got to be brutal with Billy. He will accept no less.
