I'm having withdraw! I heard something about them extending the track. I dont know how true it is but it came from somebody from up that way.

Rumor has it they are getting IHRA certified and they are making some improvements. Buts thats just hearsay.

I wasnt sure if the retaining walls would pass for IHRA sanctioning. Either way, Bowman is a great track and they care a lot about opinions of the racers.

Yes we plan to open Saturday if the weather is good .Everyone IHRA came by the track a few week ago and did and inspection and said we had to do a few minor things and we could be sanction .

If all goes well this year we hope to all some more shutdown .The amount they want to do the job we have to get more revenue comming in.

sounds good that would help alot,, nothing against the track but more shut down would help

i believe it was Mike that posted track lengths one time and Bowman was a good bit shorter than all the others.

what did IHRA say about the walls? if i may make a suggestion, i know it would be very expensive to frame and pour new walls but i was thinking if you bolted metal guardrails to the top half of your barriers i believe it would bounce a car back into the lanes insted of the car climbing the wall.

and it wont be like metal rails bolted to wood posts that fold over. just a thought. could be much safer for everyone
