Ok, no problem. How long before the top end goes together? If its going to be awhile, we may just send these back to Comp. Unless, someone else needs them.

If you do need shorter, we can order them for you. Usually take a couple days.

not worth starting a new thread so i just post here.

someone told me the stock ls pushrods are not 7.4 but shorter, and the comp 80 wall 5/16 replacement rods that are sold under 7.4 are longer. this has gotten me lost.

here is where im at.

stock LS2 cam basecircle is 1.5180
new turbo camshaft basecircle is 1.4410 recommended pushrod lenth is 7.425

the current blower cam basecircle is 1.4545 and im running the comp 7.4, all seems well.

but "friend" is saying i should already be running the 7.425 rods

what yall think?

.080 is the high end of where I like it. .060 - .080 works for me. The pushrod length can depend on other factors besides just the cam base circle, but I can say that the Comp 7.4's measure @ 7.40. I really like to check for myself rather than do what people say, if I can. Too many variables and tolerance possibilities.

I will say that if your cam has over .600 lift and the heads are stock and gaskets are stock, then "generally" you would need at least the 7.425.
