Tanfoglio EAA Witness Elite Match in .45ACP. Sweetest shooting .45 I've ever had my hands on.

Kind of large to carry, based on a CZ28 (I think it was the 28). Very very well built guns, imported from Italy by the same importer that brings in the Saiga 12 shotgun. And believe it or not, that is NOT stainless steel.

Springfield XD40 (Rob's) & XD9 (mine) subcompacts

20ga Mossberg 500 shotgun (mine)

Rob has a 12ga Mossberg 500. Will probably take better pics when I get home, these have been on photobucket since we got them. Also will have to upload pics of our 12ga Marlin goose guns.

Those EAA Witness Elite Match guns are a hell of a value for what you get. They are CZ-75 clones for the most part, but EAA uses a wide-body frame for their whole lineup from 9mm to .45 and 10mm. CZs use a normal width frame for their 9mm and .40, and go to a wide frame for their .45 model CZ-97.

Too bad all the newer EAA Witness Elite Match guns all come with a light rail. I like the looks of your non-railed version much better.

As for the personal inventory:

S&W 1911 .45 with Ed Brown Bobtail for cooler weather carry and IDPA competitions.

Glock G26 for warmer weather carry.

CZ-75 Stainless in 9mm for USPSA and IPSC competitions. The 19 round mags really piss the liberals off!

Mossberg 12ga Turkey Tactical pump

Stainless Ruger Mini-14 with ATI folding Stock and an arsenal of 20 round mags.

Savage 10fp bolt action .308Win. Best group to date: 7/8" 3 shot group @250 yards.

Beretta model 391 12ga for busting clays and fowl.

The guys at Atlantic Game and Tackle in Mt. P. by where the old Yamaha store was, behind circle K, they are the closest EAA dealer and will order whatever you like. Price was right, too, compared to gunbroker and the like.

Can't go wrong with the Witness......GREAT gun for the $$. The Elite Match (mine will be sold today.... ) is a great gun, shoots amazing. Have had many people tell me after shooting it that it is the best shooting gun they've ever had in their hands.

I have no idea where thats at. I live in Myrtle Beach and not too familiar with Mr. Pleasant. I usually just drive through it on my way to Charleston.

Can I ask how you much you paid for yours?

$520 I think. Now they only come with the light rail on the front. And I think 9mm and .40 cal are cheaper. They also make a 10mm version.

I dont mess with 9mm.

.40 and .45 would be ideal for me.
I might have to check them out.

Yep, that's me. I thought I saw your screen name on the Yahoogroups site for the Palmetto Gun Club IDPA. I put 2 and 2 together once I connected your screen name with your real name signature in one of your posts there.

You shooting at Trader World this Wed nite? I'll be there. I'm pretty sure we will be shooting with the lights ON this time! I really do like those lights out shoots like we did last time, though. Ain't nothing like real world practice!

If anyone on the board here wants to do some pistol shooting on the move, come check us out at Trader World range Wed nite at 6:30 to sign up. We shoot at Trader World every 2nd and 4th Wed nite. Shooting starts at 7:00 and costs $10. Bring at least 100 rounds of ammo, your handgun, enough magazines to shoot at least 18 rounds at once with just simple magazine changes, strong side holster, and some eye and hearing protection. We shoot at least 2 courses of fire and sometimes 3 if time permits. Shooter performance is measured by how long it takes to shoot a course in conjunction with hits on target. Non-prime hits on target add penalty time to the raw time it takes you to run the course. The lowest adjusted time for the night wins.

For the revolver gurus out there, make sure you have enough speed loaders or moon clips to make it though an 18 round course of fire.

After experiencing shooting on the range under time stress while doing reloads, shooting on the move and from behind cover, making sure you miss the innocent targets, etc., you won't even want to shoot from a booth at just one target ever again like on a regular range visit. A regular range visit will be just like wasting ammo after you shoot at one of these action shoots.
