				 | Last Night

Last nights Iron Man race had a good turnout of cars and spectators for a saturday race. Alot of racers commented and said the track was working real good. Congratulations to all the winners of the Iron Man trophies. A few Top Dragsters were in the house making shakedown passes in preparation for todays showdown. Brian Pennington from Kentucky cranked out a 3.86 @179mph in the right lane. We have about 5 more dragsters arriving today along with the 4.70 doorslammers. It's going to be an exciting show. Gates open @ 3 and admission is only $10 for woman and $15 for men. Hope to see you there!

I really had to consider should I respond to this post or not, but here goes. A 3.85 pass will equate to speeds around that time. These top dragsters have ran these times and speeds before and even quicker at Dorchester. This is the first time someone mentioned there mph was off yesterday. I was up in the tower when you made your passes and did not notice any incorrect mph. If you could give me your car # I possibly can pull the log sheet back up and see what your mph was. That way we can verify that a problem did exsist and address it. Thnx, in advance.

will do. It comes and goes. It will work fine for a couple weeks then it want. I think its something with the plug for the sensors of maybe a wire short. Dont yall remove them at the end of the night and reinstall them right before yall open?

@ 1iron, Thanks. @ bwelch, we jus disconnect the plug from the sensor. This is a brand new sysytem that we just purchased last year. Anyone, if this happens to you from this point forward please bring it to our attention so that we can investigate further.

#458. I also have the timeslips to prove it . I went slower than I ever have. My motor and nitrous pass were the exact same et. I was on the brakes first pass and went 30mph on motor. last pass was on nitrous and I went same et (go figure) and slowed down to 22 mph. My motor pass was .6 off and I will verify today at bowman my times. Could be something on my end before I say much on that.

Like Brian said, its not all the time incorrect with the MPH, but I will mention it if it gives me an off number again. On a good note, Zacs diesel truck has been a 5.29 @ 45 before in the left lane. We were ready to lock in with anybody.

Plenty tracks gives females a discount. Darlington charges females $1, Carolina used to give discount also but im not sure if they still do. Alot of women arent into racing like us men but they come anyway "just" to show support. When I bring my fiance to the track if im not going down the track shes not paying much if any attention to whats going on as far as racing goes. Alot of tracks does this also because not every guy comes to the track to race or even see a race, alot of em come for the women. More women = More men and and more men and women = More $$$$. Thats not just at the track thats everywhere. Marketing Strategies work.
