Default Converter seal trick

This maybe common knowledge idk.If you are not replacing the converter and it is visibly worn on the outer sleeve a new seal will still leak a little. But try this before you pop it back in. Take the spring out look for a little mark. sorry crappy cell pics

Twist the spring counterclockwise with both hands it will come apart with a male and female end

clip about an 1/8 to 1/4 inch (depending on how bad the groove is) off the female end.Screw it back together install.

Old mechanic showed me this works like a charm
