Mr. King I will be there too. I will take the leave from you. What do you think? Is it a race? I forgot I'm talking about the leave from your tow truck.

The Fast Ford Shootout is still scheduled for this Sunday. Hopefully, we won't feel to much of Irene's wrath. Stay safe guy's and I will update everyone on any changes due to the weather.

We plan on coming as well.

Did yall get your issues fixed with the burned meter base on the power pole that feeds the ticket booth and the rest of the timing system?

lol, I actually had to go meet him for some tires. The box was burnt up pretty good, but he was finishing up the new one when I left. Should be good to go.

Your absolutely right! I looked at it Sunday night. Was trying to figure out a way for us to have some power. Just didn't have my high voltage gloves with me. Now we will just have to wait for the power company to come and set the meter.

Default Gamblers race

I know it's last minute, but it seems as if Sunday is looking pretty good weather wise. If there is enough interest, we will have a gamblers race this Sunday along with the Fast Ford Shootout. Track will throw in a few dollars to the purse. @ Chillerman, I never imagine something so simple could be so difficult. Had to get parts, permit and wait on SCE&G to come out. Hope we never see that problem again!

Unfortunately the power company had already taken the meter out and did not notify track officials of their actions. They discovered the issue not until Sunday afternoon. They didn't have a choice but to get a permit, since it required isolating the power source or unless the electrician did it hot.
