So if I have a 4l60e PCM will it control the 65e? guess it might, the TBSS and GTO have a ECM and TCM where as most of the others have both in the same unit....

It doesn't matter if there is a separate TCM or not. If your donor car that you got your harness and PCM and/or TCM out of has a plug to plug into the 60/65, it will work. The internal electrics of the 60 and 65 are the same and they both share the same bulkhead plug at the right rear of the trans.

You can run the motor and 4l60/4l65/4l80 all off the same pcm if you have a 99+ LS1 PCM and harness.

If the PCM and harness was originally running a 60E/65E, then it will run with the existing arrangement. If you step up to the 4L80E, then a small adapter harness and a reprogram of the PCM/TCM will be needed. Now if the truck you got the harness out of was originally for an 80E, then a short adapter harness would be needed to plug into the 60E/65E and the PCM/TCM would need programming to run the 60E/65E. At least you wouldn't have to obtain another PCM/TCM for either trans you decide to run. GM LS series PCMs are pretty flexible from a hardware standpoint.
