I don't like that idea.

When I brought this subject up a few months ago, I originally said that would be the best way of doing it.
...but when I went to make the post it just didn't look right as a rule.

How do we know who is built and who isn't?
Does it have to be built long block or just a built short block that requires stock wheels.

How about we just do this, Anyone with an aftermarket supercharger/nitrous has to run stock size wheels. Gen 2's still running an Eaton can run slicks.

They are supposed to be loose. The pressure of the cap on the rod holds them in place. I really want to see them.

Sounds fair I think Randy and I could take all the help we can get.

Rules have been edited to make it a better race. How 'bout it Randy you in?

I'm 80% sure that a stock blower truck will win now, and 99% sure I won't win. ....but its still going to be fun as hell to get out there with you guys.

also.. If everything works out we will try and do this again to draw 10 or more trucks in, maybe even get SW, Wade & Ronnie to join in the fun.

That sounds like fun. Maybe if we get 10 trucks we can bump the fee to $20 if thats agreeable to everyone. $200 winner takes all sounds like a good payday.

Man sounds like a lot of fun, sorry I can't join in the activities. I would say have the built trucks run D/R and stock run their slicks for the first week then if its not competivive enough adjust the rules accordingly. I think in the end it will come down to Randy, Chris and Derick. They will be more consistant than everyone else, but will be a lot of fun to watch and race.

  • 10 dollar entrance fee; winner takes all

Who's in
  1. Mike
  2. Larry
  3. Chris
  4. Frank

I hope we can at least get 5 trucks.
Change that from 18"+ wheels to 18" stock rims and get rid of the word rear and (or bigger) and im in. Otherwise i'll have to wait till I have 10 grand under my hood.

Make it a drivers race instead of a horsepower race, or I could just give you my 10$ now and we can forget about racing

The idea is rims, Randy. The built trucks will have to run 18" or taller rims on the rear.
Everyone will have to run stock size (or taller/wider) rims on the front. No skinnies of any sort on any of the trucks. The idea is to have stock or heavier wheels/rims on the front.

No one is trying to bend the rules. Basically, the built motor L's will have drag radials on a 18" rim, and stock fronts. The trucks such as yours can put your slicks on and run your stock fronts. I would have taken that deal (and a double or nothing deal) in a heartbeat the way my truck was sitting before the motor. I will be running pump gas, a street tune and 14lbs of boost with my Nittos.

WTF are you talking about? I'm trying to make it as fair as possible.

I'm getting a head ache from all your boo-hooing. This thing is set up for you to win.....I was actually thinking about making a side bet that you would win.

Are you in or not? Just pay the 10 dollars and show up with your slicks.

Default Engine Bearings

Hey guys I have built Hundreds of Engines the Rod and Main Brgs will fall out after they have run even for a short time the notch in th rod and rod cap stops it from spinning as you torque the rods an Mains with the new Brgs they won't move. You will see as you install the new ones. Mitch

The correct terms on what is happening to the rod bearings is asymmetric meaning they are no longer round when you remove the cap. So in my terms the Brgs fall out. Mitch

Updated the list with Randy & Mitch. Waiting to hear back from Daryl if he's got baseball that Sunday.

How about it Morey, are you in? It's just 10 dollars to go out and have some fun, who knows you might line up with me (the red light master) and win.

Its only 10$ and there is no way you can tell us your truck is only in the 9.20's even with the spray.

When was the last time you saw me beat any of these guys? Let me give you a little hint. uh never lol. Well I have beat Frank but no one else.

I guess since you don't have a guaranteed win you can't have any fun ...

I honestly don't think Chris stands a chance, but he's doing it. Just spray the shit out of it, and come have some fun.

After talking to Randy, I hear you might have a fighting chance with your new mod.
