Default 100-175 shot, same ET/MPH

Not that it really matters at this point but have been racing the C10 a few times and first time out I had the "100" shot in there and goes a 7.8 @ 88.
WOW I thought, this thing will fly once we get to really hosing it....
jump up to a 150....same EVERYTHING except it pulled a 1.59 60' but every other incremental was the same, the difference was I had it on a WOT switch rather than me just pushing the button when I felt it leave.
went to the 1/4 track and basically the same but i was holding the button again. 8.0s. decided to up the shot to "the big pills" and 7.8 @ 88, WTF
go again Sunday to ShadySide and run the '150' and 7.8 @ 88 with 1.8 60' just like every other time.

I think i have a restriction some where but you would think it would do something different.

did weight it at SDR (1/4) and was 4050 without me and bottle in it so nearly 4300#s raceweight. did turn a 12.3 @ 110 on the big shot...

I guess now I will put it into tow mode and get the coupe ready for the spring.

do you have an a/f gauge?
if so, what's the a/f?
Are you reading the plugs?
small or large solenoids?
size nitrous line?

borrowed Nitrous Works "mustang" kit.
SMALL noids; line is -4 i believe, its not big.
I have not put the WB on it or read the plugs.

it was just for fun but as we know, its addictive and I have problems.

I keep telling myself to take it off and not worry with it but if I was to spend some resources the truck could go 11.9s easily....

What are the jet sizes you were using for the different size shots? What is your fuel pressure? What is your bottle pressure? Full bottle of nitrous? I am willing to bet that your solenoids could be playing a factor. But I would be leaning towards too rich

100 52/28
150 59/31
big 67/42 this i know was too rich and stupid
58PSI on FP
bottle pressure is 900-950.
Full bottle every time we started.

and the lines might be too small.

I have a plate kit coming that was originally going to be used on coupe but I might put on the truck just to see and if I do that it will have the tow cam in there and will be on the dyno.

We were experiencing the same issues with the larger shot not picking up and it turned out to be too rich. Once the mix was corrected she picked up considerably and hit a lot harder.

If you run a 67, start with a 34 (with 58 psi) on fuel side, that will get you close. The line on about any Kit will support a 70 jet, even the old compucar small noid/line. Been there...

oddly enough, with me doing the button 60's are in the 1.8xx range every time.
figured i was too rich and did not want to buy more jets b/c this was not the set up I want to keep.
I probably will put the plate kit on it just to see what it does and it will be tuned right.

dang addictive stuff!

The slight delay of you pushing the button versus having it on the wide open throttle switch is enough to cause the convertor to act different.
Is it a nitrous style camshaft?

I am assuming by the jet spreads that it is a kit intended for a fox body. Those kits were jetted fat to start with and that was assuming much lower fuel pressure. We run a 67/34 on a 2010 mustang and it is fine if that gives you a point of reference. It rins fuel pressures very close to an LS1.

Your .067 nitrous jetting setup should have a .034-035 fuel pill. Do you know the orifice size your solenoids? Your -4 line should be go to up to around a 200 shot. But a 200 would do better with a -6 line.
Are you running the same plugs for the different pill shots?
What plugs and gap are you at?
I would assume you have some timing pulled of course.

But you could be blowing through the converter. That is a strong possibility

All the tuning sheets from nitrous manufacturers are rich as hell, to make them safer, and because no 2 vehicles are the same. It takes alot of time making a pass, towing the vehicle back, and pulling the plugs, to get the tune right. Thats why the people that really take the time and effort to get it right can make their 250 shot run like and average out the box 400 shot or better..

I dont know shit about this kit and not worried with it.
I have TR6s in there or 104s cant remember now. but they are at a 40 gap i believe.
pulled 2* of timing.

blowing thru the TC seems odd when 'everyone' else is able to run 150+ and not have issues and then you see these turdblow cars on stock crap making 600+

but once i get the cam in there and the plate it will be done right.

agree and probably the truck could pick up even on the 100 shot that was in there before...

tr6s on the 200 is no good. close the gap on the plugs to around a .032. and pull some more timing out for the 200.

Our setup is a .078 (200 shot) br8s (could drop to 7's) gapped to a .028 (personal preference , helped with our tuning) and I believe I am at 26* of timing. Which if I think I heard jamie right he pulled 6 * out for me.

We put 200 down to the tires off the nitrous outlet plate. But we are also on a -6 line now.

Put new plugs in (colder range, NON projected tip)
Close the gap
Pull some more timing
with the fresh plugs, take it for a test hit. Shut vehicle down and read plugs. Make adjustments accordingly. Put fresh plugs in and do it again. Usually within 3 plug readings we have the tune spot on and have fun.

That is the problem with nitrous. To get it correct it takes some time. Don't think I am knocking you, but most people think they can just hook a kit up and everything be honky doorey . You have no idea how many bottles we have gone through while I was tuning for the 100 shot up to 200 shot. Now that was on a nitrous outlet plate kit.

I have no idea on direct port but will soon enough
