Default ford 9"?

i built a ford 9" for my s10 a while back and when i did i had it narrowed to stock length and did 33 spline mosers and when i ordered axles i ordered them for disk brakes not thinking it was a huge deal. So when i got them once you put the axles in the bearing sticks out and you have to space out the retainer to make it all work. well im tired of fighting with this speedway disk brake setup and im going back to drums. Can i order a bearing for the axles that will work i guess with drums and it wont be as thick and i can put the retainer on like normal? when you look at the disk setups like wilwood and strange they have a provision in the retainer plate for the bearing. any help is appreciated
