Werent you charged $50 an hour labor instead of the $85 posted shop rate? Mistakes were made and it took longer than it should have. You were given some money back and Jeff offered to fix the issues free of charge and you guys refused. Bring it back and let us fix the issues or quit smearimg the shop on here and facebook. Good day.
first off you need to get your head out of your ass. no money has ever been refunded and I've been told I'm imagining the fucked up job they did. I was quoted One price then after 6 months of BS and lies I said finish it. enough of the BS. the price jumped $3k more than quoted for no reason. The truck was there because I was quoted 2.5 weeks for an install of the turbo.all i added was delete abs. I guess deleting abs adds $3k and 6 months. But even though all the perimeters of the install were known including the 120 psi injectors and driver the price was quoted

since the truck has been back there have been many issues that are safety issues that I guess are not important. brakes aren't needed wtf? discovered that should have been addressed while it was at the shop. Here is a short list. Items fixed are by US not HHP and never offered to be fixed or refunding me any money.

1. fuel leaks around fuel logs (fixed)
2. o2 sensors not connected and in need of jumper harness ( I made harness)
3. brakes fittings leaking and no brakes (still fighting this battle)
4. catch can not installed (fixed)
5. fuel line run loosely in driveshaft tunnel. hmm i do see much an issue here... (fixed)
6. drain for ice box in back of truck open draining into the passenger compartment instead of outside of vehicle. (fixed)
7. screwed relays to to the excellent condition interior panel for the fuel pumps (too late to change)
8. missing cut off switch for fans or pumps. need this to download tune so battery does not die. (fixed)
9. hot side was to be ceramic hot coated and wrapped. all I got was it plumbed. (exhaust wrapped)
10. hoses from icebox to bulge pump and intercooler were just thrown in the passenger compartment laying loosely on the floorboard without any care for how it looked (fixed)
11. charged us $250 for a -8an hose for fuel return. we supplied a -12AN hose that would have worked but needed the one end to be reworked to fit our configuration. ( I'm at awe over this)
12. they bought the wrong MAP sensor when we told them what the 3bar map sensor part number was that we wanted to use. They supplied a map sensor for a 6.6 turbo diesel (wrong) ( I purchased correct Map sensor and pigtail. Wired this into the harness)
13, all during the install the turbo was taken apart and in halves. this has us concerned since they just put it back together without looking up possible assembly specs. I sure hope it doesn't come apart and someone gets hurt. bystander or driver of vehicle.

there may be more. this is just a small list that I can remember off hand.

I was also quoted $500 for the hydroboost -6an lines in black hose. I am building the high pressure SS braided hoses for around $130. Its so cheap that I will also make braided hoses for the PS cooler lines. total for me is $175.

and for the keys, I was never told they were on the bumper. I said place them in the truck but I guess shit was in the ears and they heard what they wanted. my loss. not going to bankrupt me

now for the conversation regarding the time for the build. I was told it would be finished for the s10nationals which was May 19th. the truck was dropped off in March wasn't even started by May. Besides Ashleys car was taking all the shop time up so there was no time for the Blazer build as I was told. I told Jeff to get Ashley's car finished since its been there for a longer time than mine. then get mine out of there so we can hit the track. he was aware we were planning to hit a few events.

Once the Blazer build started the parts weren't ordered yet. go figure. so we get the parts ordered and 4+ weeks later they finally arrive. But there was plenty of other items that could have been worked on during the parts arrival time. but it sat collecting dust. I visited the shop weekly and I was told it would be done Tuesday then Tuesday would arrive and it would be Friday. this went on for months all while workers felt it was in their best interest to eat crackers and surf the net.

Work on the blazer did not get expedited until I mentioned it was leaving that Friday since I was told it would be finished at that time. then all of a sudden they needed to order more parts so the build got postponed for a few more weeks. so project planning 101 is not a strong point.

As for $50/hr labor. more like $75 vs $85 that was due to me being at the track and advertizing for them. its called barter deal.. ever heard of it? guess not.

As you can tell I'm tired of chasing BS that I had already paid for to be complete but is not. Its a good thing we have reviewed what was done to the Blazer and where there were corners cut to just get it out the door no matter what. This was at the lack of concern for anyone's safety.

I going off of what I was told. If I got SOME bad info so be it. I was told moneys were deducted off your final bill. Is that not correct? I was told you were billed $50 an hour is that not correct?

I do not have another 6 months for a shop to sit around and eat crackers while trying to figure out what to do. then if it got too hot run next door to an a/c shop. Would you risk what else might get fucked up? Not me. We are capable of fixing everything that is wrong in a reasonable amount of time. Heck the install we would have done but were quoted 2.5 weeks for the install so what the hell, why not. Besides, they said they wanted a turbo build other than the bolt on kit they did before. So being a guinea pig for this build should warrant a pretty good discount.

I've tried to not get voice my opinion if you read any posts regarding the shop. But when I'm brought into it I will quickly defend myself against any allegations made.

Dude your posts on facebook have been nothing but derogatory. And youve made several loaded comments on here as well. Easy to decipher if you know the deal which most do.

Anyhoo Im done with it. Its not my battle anyway except in that you are hurting me by defaming my employer therefore potentially getting into my back pocket. So knock the shit off. You got what you've been dying for, a chance to air your dirty laundry on CHP like youve done on all the other forums you frequent.

The only place I have ever posted anything regarding the blazer and the "ISSUES" is in the s10racer section which is by "invite only". Not public and no mention of a shop by name at all. usually those who are guilty try to defend actions even when there is no mention what so ever of who is being stated about.

Only issue I mentioned was a steering shaft that was welded solid. but after further investigation we found there was just enough room to remove the shaft. Still not a collapsible shaft as designed by GM but it is removable. There was also a post to follow it up that stated that it was removable and that was no longer an issue. so you need to read further beyond what your attention span allows. when I'm wrong I will admit it, not cover it up.

You were quoted for each part of your build. You brought more parts in and you were quoted on the spot for the additional items that you wanted done. I spoke with Jr. and offered to make any repairs. He stated that y'all would fix them. As for a refund I have spoken with Jr. and he told me that when it was all fixed we would sit down and discuss the repairs that had to be done and come to an dollar amount we could all live with. There have been other things that have been said that are just not true and I will not discuss this on a public forum. Both you and Jr. have my phone number are welcome to come to shop and discuss this.

oh please quote where it's been aired please. I know for a fact that I have not said a word on any forum. I've been under the impression this was all going to be taken care of. But recently I was informed that no one gives a shit and its all up to us to fix it at my cost. I wasn't going to say anything in this thread until I was drug into it with lies being stated about what went on.

Ive seen many cars go in and out of Jeffs shop. Lots of return customers with new projects to get done. Many happy customers. Ive logged many hours over at HHP and consider Jeff to be a good friend of mine. On the flip side Ive seen and heard about the unhappy customers.

Unfortunately when you do good work and have a shop full, its going to happen. Ill admit it, it happens at my shop. Ive had cars ive kept WAY long than I should have, and Ive had unhappy customers, because I wasnt able to finish something quick enough.

Then you try and hire people on to get the new work done and sometimes you get people who you think can do good work and it turns out they cant. Ive been there, it sucks when you want to help and get shit done but you cant do it all yourself. I think Jeff has a great full time crew in there now, Jamie, Zac, Shawn, and Mike.

Hal, from what I saw of the blazer it looked like a big project. You guys are trying to do some awesome stuff with that big blazer. I think 2 weeks is a ridiculously short amount of time for a project of that caliber. Maybe if Jeff had a guy who only focused on that project for 10 hours a day he could pull it off but day to day things do get in the way, and are a necessary evil. I will agree that six months is on the long side.

I wish things had worked out better on both ends, but I dont think this HHP bashing is needed. The performance car world has grown leaps and bounds in the last 20 years, hell the last 10 years. Things are becoming more complicated and people are pushing ideas and engineering further and further. Im not going to speak first hand about your project because I dont know the story. But alot of problems on big projects come from miscommunication, parts issues, different schools of thought, money, or having so many ideas of what they want. This is not just on the owners side, the shop can create problems as well, inconsistent help, over taxed with work, or day to day operations putting important long term goals on hold. Its easy to grab that dollar thats infront of your face instead of the one thats a mile away. Im guilty of it as well, bottom line is we are only trying to keep our doors open.

Unless there was blatant ripoff, stolen property, or fraud then my opinion is that these types of grievances should not be thrown around on a message board.
