Default Need some help CHP style

I've got a cunty little troll who keeps fucking with my for sale thread of my S60R on another forum. He himself is selling a shitbox 24 yr old 3 series that has to be towed away for $1700. Here's the link to his CL ad, feel free to bust his balls, YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED BY HIS RESPONSES! Post them here so we can all have a laugh! Thanks for your help!

Just FYI 1700 for that car even if it isn't running is a good deal... But a douche is a douche

Thats actually a killer deal for that. those things go for 3500 in a lot worse shape up here. I know a guy who flips them pretty regularly finding deals like that.

That's just plain ridiculous! Am I missing something? People really go nuts for a 200,00 mile 24 year old E30's? I understand a 1st gen M3, please enlighten me as to why.

Hey man, I was just wondering if you'd be interested in a 1989 Merkur XR4TI. Runs and drives, lots of goodies, looks good, etc. Been looking to get into the Euro scene. I would need some cash of course on your end because they're so rare. Let me know and I can send you some pics.

The e30's are an amazing little car... I sold my 91 318is with 400k+ miles, rear brake line blown, dead battery, blown out muffler (literally looked like it exploded), bad temp gauge, body damage and some other little issues for 2500$... And I could have sold it for 5-6k easy if it was in the shape that one is in with all the little issues I had....

My brother had 2 318's in the late 90's early 00's and I thought there was ZERO special about them, didn't ride particulary well, didn't handle stunningly, and were very anemic when it came to power. Guess there is an ass for every seat!

Yes. If you have to ask, then you've never owned/driven one.

I'd take a grey 2-door E30 over either of your volvos.

Did he have an "i" or an "is" (kinda rare and only brought over for a couple of years) There is a great deal of difference. What Paul had was an "is". A DOHC 1.8 M42 engine in a 2600lb car. Not a traight line beast, but probably much more thrilling to drive than 3500lb+ Volvo.

I was hoping he would take the bait but doesn't look like he's in the mood.

I've driven them, my stepmother also had an 88 325is back in 92 and did not impress me one bit, but then again I drove an 88 Saleen at the time. I like twisties as well, and have run against them @ Roebling Road on some track days and it was an all out rape by me. To each his own I guess, i'd much rather my Volvos over an E30.

Yeah because the spec Volvo class is roaring. Oh wait....

Bring one to RR on 6/8-9 for the PCA DE. Should be a good time.

Don't get all butt hurt because somebody has a different opinion than you, and no there is not a spec Volvo class, and yes there is a large Volvo community.

I'm not the one butt hurt needing a forum to help your butt hurt attitude.

You have a right to your opinion but there is a reason the e30 is in many lists as one of the best cars made of all time. Not the Volvo. I like both but the e30 is by far a more capable and recognized car. And the Volvo community is a tiny sliver compared to the e30, sorry.
