Default Even Bigger Brakes

I'm moving up to V2 6pot calipers at the end of the month. V1s are more then enough currently but with the 441ci I'm going to be hauling some major ass. (Maybe 160 into t1 at Roebling?)

I've been running CTS-v1 calipers on all corners with HP+ pads. I have 0 fade issues now vs stock that was 2hot laps, 3 cooldown; but I'm only hitting ~143mph into turn one at Roebling. I haven't ran full course at CMP since I put on the rears; but I'm confident they would hold up into 11 and 1.

I've considered going to V2 calipers on my car(i've got the Camaro/V1 4-pot brembos stock). I had some fade coming down Ceasars Head downhill with Hawk Ceramic pads... that was only doing 80/100-45ish for a mile or two repeatedly... I was surprised i didnt cook the fluid like i did in the cobalt on stock pads.

You haven't switched to ATE Super Blue yet? And for your weight of a car I'd think HPS would be better than ceramics.. Or you could get some Carbotech AX-6 pads, albeit they dust a little more and have a faint squeal.

I put these on and they were flat out dangerous. And they didn't generate less dust either. http://www.hawkpadsdirect.com/Hawk-C....570.1022r.htm

whats funny is the ceramics squeal already and dust WAY more than I expected they would... well i'm assuming they are still ceramics based off of what the posts i found by the previous owner say. I was considering switching to HP+ pads if i made the switch. Cobalt had Ferrodo 2500's and from what i saw that was slightly more aggressive than an HP+ and i liked how they did once i switched to blue.

GM puts pretty nasty pads in the stock brembos from the factory. Cobalt came with Ferodo 2500's and would eat a set of rotors per set of pads.

I hope to god what i have arent ceramics, they puke dust

I wouldn't recommend HP+ for street use.

If you have heard my squeaky brakes at SSS that's HP+ noise.

I kinda hope they are ceramics... then again They took some nasty abuse on that mountain run.. The WRX in front of me(Carl Brown, said it was just running autozone ceramics and autozone rotors) had SERIOUS smoke pouring out of the front brakes on a ceasars head downhill run and I know i was more aggressive with the brakes when i went a few weeks later on the 20's.
