Neil only races for cheeseburgers, and then tries to sell the car he raced with so there is no chance of another call out...

i think the ls7 cam is a 3 bolt and the ls9 is a single bolt, but i may be wrong, the ls3 should be a single bolt

I've seen them both, the last 2010 LS3 I tore apart had a single bolt, all of the rest have been three.

LS9 has three bolt is the word of the web. the ls7 can be both depending on what year it was pulled from. also, last time I checked, the LS7 cam lift and duration are rated with 1.8 rockers while most cams use 1.7's.

I'd recommend the LS9 if you need a 3bolt cam, if not, you would need the 3 bolt conversion, and depending on how much that is, is the point where you need to see if a custom ground would be better.

Either way the conversion stuff is only like 35 bucks... I would prefer the ls7 cam since 9 and 7 are the same except the LSA.

And everyone here! It's because the lift and duration numbers are based on te ls7 using 1.8 rockers and since you have 1.7s. The numbers would be lower.

Would just put on a 100 shot and call it a day. Drive like stock and then out run the combo you intend to use. Plus you save yourself the hassle of putting in a cam.

My factory LS7 cam was a 3-bolt and that's all I've ever seen come out of them in any conversation, I've seen.

Looks like I'm going to be running an LS7 cam... I'm looking for some used 1.85 roller rockers now... apparently the few people who have bought them are still using them tho...

How did this turn out? I'm working on a L99 camaro. Thinking about the ls9 cam with 1.8 rockers and cnc'd heads. Trying to get more power with a stock idle.
