Weather's not quite as nice as here, but it's a pretty cool place. You ever go to Freedom Wash at Mt. Trashmore and see the street races there? Or the BP Station down near Elizabeth City?

Hmm from what I hear the street racing scene is pretty big up in those parts. there are also a few performance shops in the area with some bad ass vehicles. Who are you trying to snowball?

You can't put tires on your car because you don't have a garage. what does it matter? Don't you have a jack? what are you going to do if you get a flat tire? let it sit because you don't have a garage. get real. I call BS run what ya brung and hope you brought enough. Unless you only want to run mopeds.

he said beware of the sandbaggers what here? no one sandbags on this site. everyone knows exactly what the other guy is running. geesh

How about this.. I'll take my car on drag radials and drive to Va to pick up yours then yank you like a dog on it's leash... Hell I've driven further than Va beach on these exact tires... In snow and rain.. Bet your street tires haven't done that...

Harry, looks like a race for the 280Z, it has regular street tires. I think on your last pass at Dorchester, didn't Andrew give you a calendar instead of a time slip.. Oh welcome to the board..

Thanks for the welcome. My college in Michigan runs a different schedule from most. 3 months at school, 3 at a work study. Keep switching back n forth for 5 years and get a degree, and my work study is with Bosch. I was never brave enough for the Armed Forces, haha.

The street race scene back home is nothin like this. Either that or I'm stupid. Maybe both. I'm impressed by what's here, and kinda sad there's not more slow cars like me.

Because of the whole college deal (see above), I live with a Bosch employee and my car gets parked in the street every night. If I get a flat, I'll either have it towed to a shop and probably buy some radials then, or if the money's bad, just let it sit and ride with the Bosch guy to work. I'm just a lowly 18 year old college kid, with a cobbled-together street car on a forum tryin to have a little fun. I respect "Run what ya brung," but I definitely didn't bring enough, or anticipate that the street race scene would be this serious down here. Hell, those mopeds might get me, seein how fast everything else is down here. Like I said, I wish I could be a contender, but I'm slow. Sorry man

They definitely haven't. You got a good versatile setup to do all that and still put down some good times. What kinda car do you have?

Welcome.

Based on all that you have said on here and talked about in person, you might wanna wait and run me at the track when you get some tires. It would actually be a close race then. If we run the race that you and I talked about at dorchester, you would be giving your money away. I've been in your shoes before and can relate to the broke college student situation. With that being said i'm going to be honest with you and suggest keeping your money and putting it into the car/school/something useful instead of my pocket.

But if you still wanna race it is up to you.

there i did my good deed for the week.
