Hey guys, the truck can hit the 1-2 and 3-4, but I was told by design, the internal linkage gets tweeked on 2nd gear pull so shifting to third just doesn't happen, low rpms or shifting speed doesnt matter. This wasn't a problem preturbo, this a fresh 5speed (20k miles)

Any case, I say 50-120, 60-120. The truck spins up thru second now, even on the drag radials. I haven't tried heating them up though or dropping pressure, so there is some hope. That said, truck is good for two things, dyno numbers and roll ons till I suck up installing a 4l80e. Besides, i'm trying to get some fun out this 4.8 before she pops. I'm thinking about going to this dyno day, any others going? (http://www.carolinahorsepower.com/fo...ead.php?t=6223)

This race will be over in around 5 second of full throttle. I sent 02_L#416 a PM with my cell number.

I'm not calling any one person out, this isn't a "race truck" by a long shot in my opinion, shit it's on 20's. Just a peppy Daily driver, looking to run someone elses DD truck.

I would race you at the track too. My truck is no where near set-up to roll race at those speeds.

The drop, rims and power make it what it is. Looking to get a Lightning when I get back to Charleston myself. Will be more of a DD than speed king though.-Shane

Thanks Chris, not ready just yet. Been putting an extra 500 on my Cobra every two weeks to try and pay it off ASAP so I can afford the Lightning. Could sell the Mach but looking at having all three this way. -Shane

I wish man, sold it off when I bought a house. It's a bitch having responsibilities. Truck is more of a shits and giggles project. Completey stock, bolt for bolt 4.8 and $75 used ls6 cam. Added a small turbo and fuel now she's fun to drive, but a far cry from being built for real racing. How you been? What about you, did you sell your Mach?

Doing good. Gerald told me about your truck. I sold the Mach with 7200 miles to Jeff Hines on here, and her turned around and sold it to a guy he works with at Westvaco, who came to me and bought the turbo kit I had for it. So its still running around with a turbo now, Gerald keeps having to fix rearend and transmission issues, because the turbo keeps finding the weak links. Let me know if you guys meet up, because I want shotgun with a video camera..

Well you missed the race action. I pulled on lightning running 15psi, but it was a good run. I then got pulled on by a whippled lightning running 17psi. I had a good time so it was cool.

What size turbo is feeding that mach? I went with a smaller 67mm on the truck. It's a little 4.8 so I wanted something to help the bottom end and up top also, works pretty good.

It was a Proturbo kit brand and I think it was an 80mm turbo in the kit. The waste gate spring was limited to 7lbs of boost and it made 498hp and 480 something torque. He want to move up to about 12lbs of boost, but he is plenty happy right now.
