Just thought it may help.) I would check the emissions tag under the hood and close the gap a bit; unless, of course, you have upgraded the coils.
I just got my info off NLOC to help Wade out!
These guy's know more than ME on Gen 2 Lightnings!

The 4 lb lower should allow you to open them up to .036 and still be ok.
On the 8 thread heads the torqueing(sp) down is not as important, I have not seen anywhere anybody has had any trouble with the 8 thread head spitting the plugs. On ours we put a little lube on the threads and tighten.
Hope you get it running soon.

I agree. My truck is set at .034 and it works up to 18-20lbs of boost.

Both of you are wrong........ crap thread heads here, screw 13lb screw 15lb the plugs tried to back out with both settings ..............the ticking made me investigate both times, I torque them to 25lb and forget about them now. Word to the wise antisieze is your friend.

.034 gap on mine run them for a week, then pull them and they are .038

How did it run at .038? better, worse, or no difference?

That's what I used to run before I put nitrous on my truck. I lowered it to .032 with the nitrous. (although I should of went to a colder plug in addition to the lower gap, )

I was also running Denso IT-22s back then.

The heat from running in boost will allow the gap to open. Too much heat and the tips will melt off.
After that it will cost a motor or the (Mike Mod):

Runs bout the same honestly, I gap them at .032 pull them and they are .036 I gap them at .034 they end up at .038. I run the TR6's and they have alwayse done this for some reason it seem's like they loose .004 no matter what you gap them at.

I never had any drivability issues ,sparkblow, detonation (that I can hear),or ever burnt the tip off a plug....... But then again my shit is slow........
