Didnt get it finnished. Ran in to some more problems with the heads. The bolt holes for the power steering reservior bracket are smaller and the SC idler bracket hits the valve cover flange on the passanger side head. No big deal will be easy to fix. Just dont have what I need right now. At least it looks almost done.

Got new bolts for the bracket. OK I stole them from work
fixed the idler bracket. Started putting the little stuff on. Those pics that Mike put up on page 4 have helped a lot. Still having problems with the PCV plumbing on the passanger side. What does it go to behind the SC? Im going to try and mess with it a little each night this week so I can have it done by this week end. Then I have to start cleaning it. It looks baaaad. |

The lower intake has a line coming out the back. It comes up and tee's off to the passanger side pvc. The pvc on my romeo valve covers was different then the stock windsor.

The PCV hose comes up and out of the valve cover to a T. Then off the T one hose goes to the back of the lower intaker, the other goes to the upper intake near the IAC.

Look at the big insulated hose.
IAC = Idle Air Control Valve. It's top/middles of this picture.

OK I went out side and looked at it. Not feeling real smart right about now. I found it hiding right out in the open.

Damn it this thing is fighting me. I went out to get a little more done to it. Started bolting the SC down and one of the bolts got all messed up. Dont know what caused it. It's like it seized up. I got it back out. Messed up the end of the bolt and the top of the hole. Ill get another bolt and tap the hole.
Went ahead and pulled the SC and the intercooler. Finished everthing else that I could. The only things left is right on top. Im still going to do my best to finish this thing by this week end. Wish me luck. |

Yea its trying. This is what happens when a chevy guy trys to work on a ford. You can be brutal with a chevy and it wont care. You have to be tender with a ford. Or maybe it knows Im a chevy guy. Either way I going to win one way or another.

Damn it this thing is pissing me off. I fixed the bolt at work. Got a tap for it.
Tapped the hole. Then started the tap in the rest of the holes to make sure they were OK. Then I put antiseize on all of the bolts. Stared putting it back together. One of the front bolts started getting stiff at the bottom but I got it tight. the 2 very back bolts will not go all the way down. There hard as hell to get to in the first place and they want to be a pain in the....yea. I didnt run the tapp all the way down in the other holes because they all started fine. and I had put 3 bolts in last time with no probelm before I run into the one bad one and it got bad at the top. Ill finish it. Im still paying for the damn thing so I cant let it just sit. Even though it sat for almost a year now. But needless to say I dont really like the damn thing. |
