Almost had the most steal of a deal on one a year ago. Running fine but seals in turbo let go so it was smokey for 500 bucks.
Pretty neat cars for what they are. Seems like the ones I see pop up on craigslist owner things its some super rare sports car and wants way too much. Funny side note our back up generator at work uses the 2.4L turbo engine those things came stock with. |

Buddy of mine had a brand new one in high school (damn i'm getting old), and it was a fun little car to drive on the back roads of rural Pennsylvania. Good luck w/ the hunt!

While I was in Kissimmee, FL with BlackSnow picking up that Honda he built, we were at the dyno tuning it. The guy that owned the muffler shop that had the dyno is some big crazy Viper guy down there, I forget his name.
He had a Starion behind the shop that he had stuffed a Viper V10 into........wasn't running at the time, but he was hell bent on making it work. Wonder if anything ever came of it. |

What you talkin bout Willis? The Starion?
I saw it one time during the one weekend I was there with blacksnow, and didn't get much story. When i saw it the motor had just been set in the car, not even close to complete. On a side note, blacksnow's honda is in Honda Tuning mag this month. Some super nice pics and story. I'll share the link to the pics when I get it. http://chadbeephotography.com/blog/2...l-motor-civic/ ^blog post from the photographer. Last edited by PapaBear; 07-12-2013 at 09:48 AM. |

they've got an 80's japan paper head gasket... baby turbo and are goofy... in japan they came with the 4g63 that the turbo eclipse/evo had. a few guys over here have swapped them into the cars, i've seen turbo 6.0L swaps in them but as you already said, 1jz and 2jz swaps are cheap and fit the cars personality... I also agree on them looking goofy without the wide fenders.
I wonder if hendos parents neighbor still have the one they were going to give away...
