Default hyundai genesis coupe.56k gtfo

yes i know.. its a hyundai.. but i have a weak spot for this car..
they offer it in a spec r...

When the colors of your new turbocharged rear-wheel-drive sport coupe are named after international racing circuits, you`d better have the performance and confidence to back it up. Now, Hyundai is upping the ante by announcing an R-Spec version of the all-new 2010 Genesis Coupe, designed to appeal to true enthusiasts who want a low starting price and the ability to tune their car to their own specifications. R-Spec will be available as a mid-2010 model year introduction.

R-Spec provides genuine track-readiness in an affordable model. The R-Spec adds core performance equipment to the most affordable 2.0T model, such as: Track-tuned suspension, 19-inch gunmetal-finish alloy wheels with performance summer tires, Brembo?« braking system, Torsen limited-slip differential, and R-Spec badging. To further reduce cost and weight, it also eliminates some non-essential convenience equipment such as: Bluetooth?«, automatic headlights, cruise control, trip computer, chrome interior accents and steering wheel audio controls. The Genesis Coupe R-Spec will be priced at $23,750 and $3,000 less than the 2.0T Track model, leaving tuners with extra cash for their own choice of aftermarket performance upgrades. Appropriately, the R-Spec will be available in three performance oriented exteriors colors: Karussell White, Bathurst Black and Tsukuba Red.

R-Spec equipment includes:

2.0-liter low-pressure turbocharged intercooled four-cylinder engine with dual continuously variable valve timing delivering 210-hp, an estimated 30 mpg EPA highway rating and a top speed of 137 mph
6-speed close-ratio manual transmission
Electronic Stability Control with Traction control, ABS, Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and Brake Assist
19-inch gunmetal-finish alloy wheels with staggered-width high-performance summer-compound Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires (225/40YR19 front, 245/40YR19 rear)
Brembo?« braking system with 13.4-inch ventilated front rotors, 42mm four-piston fixed front calipers (red), 13.0-inch ventilated rear rotors, 32mm+28mm four-piston fixed rear calipers (red)
Track-tuned suspension (higher-rate coil springs, higher-control shock absorbers, 25mm front stabilizer bar, 22mm rear stabilizer bar, front strut brace)
Torsen-type limited-slip differential
R-Spec badging
Quick-ratio hydraulic steering (2.7 turns lock-to-lock)
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Front, side, side air curtain air bags
Active front head restraints
Driver`s lumbar support
Air conditioning
Remote keyless entry system
Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob
Power windows (one-touch up and down), door locks and mirrors
AM/FM/XM/MP3/CD audio system with six speakers
iPod/USB/Aux jack connectivity
Projector beam headlamps
Lightweight temporary spare with aluminum wheel (T135/80D18)
Note: Automatic transmission not available with R-Spec

I would love to have a Genesis for a DD, I plan on getting a nice DD next year, I had my mind set on an Evo, but I think I might be leaning more towards one of these now since they came out. One of the thing's I've heard is that it is a HUGE pain in the ass to put a bigger FMIC on it, AMS had a hard time developing one but they eventually figured it out.

their is a few odd things that the genesis coupe has in 2.0t form.
the turbo is almost built into the manifold. like the r35 is.
along with that so is the bov valve. its built into the compressor housing.

they do have some odd things.. such as a limp mode 4 boost. if it sees a certine number i think its 18psi it leaves the bov open so u cant boost.. their is ways around this..

it is based of the 4b11t which is the evo10 motor... however this is not a evo10 motor... its similar but lacking in a bunch of ways.

their is a few companies that offer parts 4 them so far. and yes a fmic kit is already on the market.

i just like them for looks warranty and all around drivability.you dont see many on the roads.. only lacking part 4 me is the color i want does not come in the track model or specr... only the base model.. but i want the brembos. maybe i can get them to install a set 4 me.

That doesn't look like much of a core, it also looks like with the factory bumper hardly any air could flow to the core. Not hating, just observing some real concerns I have. I would still love to have one though!

They are good looking cars. Real similar to the G35.

the white one looks good, 97% duty at 6K is a bit odd though, especially for a stock car.

OK... saw this thris thread so had to post. I just bought the 2010 Genesis 2.0T Track... its white... its... alot of fun... 6 speed. First and 2nd gear are ok. seems like the greater power band in it was 3rd and up... But for you import guys that do play with these types of cars... this is first import I have had I am planning on toying with... first thing is you can barley hear the turbo or blow off... would it be wiser to go with a bigger down pipe and new BOV? any help would be appreciated. Whats the first thing you should do to an import?

ur best friend on that car will be a catback exhaust..
their are some free modds you can do.( i will dig up later the diy 4 it)
where u adjust the turbo actuator arm and it will max the boost out at 15psi iirc which is still safe on stock ecu ect ect.

the bov is actually built in to the turbo/exhaust manifold hence why you cant hear it.. their is a plate you can order to seal where the oem unit goes. than you would need to weld a bov flang ect on the oem piping and walla u will have ur bov noise.

you best and very best bang for the buck buy will be the power excel its reflash ecu.. which will net you good gains thru the power band. and if you do a fmic/turbo back exhaust or any other mod it will just increase the motor.

their is a bunch of stuff out right now for those cars as far a good bolt ons. if you pm me i can get u a bunch info
