If it's not a least 50*, you can bet they are closed. Darlington is the same way.

Next weekend the temps will be in the 60s so the track should be open. Probably will be loaded too due to all this anticipation

You can make a track hook just fine in 40 degree weather. We went to Jackson last Sunday, it was only 41*, the track hooked ok for us, and everyone else we watched.
