Default 6's Finally!! New PB.

Dispite the shitty forcasts, i man'd up and drove out to bowman today. Tried out the new tune ive been working on and the Hoosiers.

First pass new PB, second pass I gave it too much throttle during the clutch release and the clutch pedal sucked down to the floor, Hot lapped it back around and gave it more rpm and quicker clutch release, same 60 ft time but lower mph from some heat soak.

Was seeing some knock in the logs so decided to call it quits for the day. Take that 60 ft/1/8 mile et and put it on my 10.90 pass and now i shoudl be down to 10.68's. 7 more tenths to reach my goal..

+1 I got few a 7.0's at 98/97. Once you get it dialed in you should get a better ET.

Nice! So you're thinking around a 10.6 1/4 mile time?

Congratulations, I would be damn happy with that timeslip. Wish I could have made the trip to see it in person but I was under my car getting my slipping clutch out.

I wish I didn't have to change the clutch. I could get another 20k miles out of it if I just quit drag racing. I don't know why the pedal goes to the floor if I try to feed any power to it during the clutch release. Almost like a hydraulic problem or something. Oh well. I'll be pissed if this twin carbon does the same thing.

Thanks again everyone.

The gto's have this problem. Does your fluid look like shit? I had the same problem with mine sucking to the floor. What you have to do is suck the fluid out the reservior and put clean fluid in it then bleed it till clean fluid comes out the bleed screw.

If it has clean fluid then you need to upgrade to steel braided hoses. The clutch doesn't have anything to do with the pedal its something with the hydraulics.

i flush the clutch fluid everytime i goto the track,, its crystal clear before and after i change it. it does help. oh well, i might just put in a tick master cylinder and new slave along with a remote bleeder while im in there.
