Default 99-04 8.8 axle assembly

Called up LKQ, blue and gold, and parks with no luck. Anyone happen to see at 99-04 at a junkyard close by? Or know of someone with a parts car those years? Can just be the housing and tubes, its all getting gutted out anyways.

I have a complete 8.8 out of a 88 Thunderbird TurboCoupe , disk brakes. I'll take $100 for it.

Supposably almost all of them will bolt up, but then i hear some are slightly shorter/longer than others. Im trying to save myself some headache and just pick up a 99-04 which i know will be a direct fit without me having to hack anything up.

I know theres some other junkyards around, anyone have a decent list? i can look the numbers up if i know the names.

Find you a local Mach 1 board or a road race board. They love to do some trading for the IRS.

Yea, a Fox body 8.8 will be about 11/16 of an inch shorter on each side than an SN95 8.8 rear end, but some people fix that issue with wheel spacers. I have one but it is out of a Fox body. I converted jeff's gray Cobra from IRS to 8.8, but it was out of a crashed 03 Mach 1. I used the Mach 1 ABS sensors and all, worked out good..

take it lol...aside from SLIGHTLY more comfortable....fords irs is lackluster ford road racing...maximum motorsports has a killer bushing kit for one which they said still wasnt as fast around a tracks as a 3 link solid rear end all things equal.
