You and I will have to agree to disagree on this one. All I ask is that you take some time and research why a custom carb is worth the money. He can also get one for 690.00. I have done my fair share of test and tune at the track with an off the shelf carb. Custom works much better. I'm not going to dispute whether or not if his carb is right or wrong. I believe you when you said the a/f was right on the dyno.

That's another direction he can take. But proper carburetion is gonna effect how well it runs on the gas. I'm out on this subject. Lol!

After owning many custom carbs I have figured out quite a few things. The biggest thing is with a custom carb it usually cutts down on the testing and tuning quite a bit, instead of floundering around trying to figure out jetting, bleeds, size of carb, ect. I tried the test and tune thing which you will eventually find the right carb/jet size, only to call AED order a carb for about $150.00 more then the plain Holley and pick up 1.5tenths and 3 MPH in the eighth, and I only set the idle, and metering screws, dispite my best efforts.

1.5 tenths. Not bad when youve already done everything else like gears transbrake stall big mota nitrous etc. Im just saying a set of 4.10's could easily be 2 tenths here. A transbrake might be worth 2 tenths or more. Gas could be half a second or more. That is all.
