Default ls bell housing.

Do the LS based motors have the same bellhousing bolt pattern as a traditional V8 chevy?

Or you can do it the right way and just get a torque converter made for a th400 or th350 and a ls motor and it will bolt right up to a ls flywheel and no spacers needed. Cameron in Columbia can build them.

Yes. They will bolt up, minus a few bolts. If you run the standard converter you will need a conversion kit. The ls1, i know, has a crank spacer on it, you need to remove it and then install the adapter kit. Otherwise the flywheel will not fit, i had to go in behind and fix another shops fuck up because they had no clue what they were doing.

or just do what lorenz said, have a converter built, not always the cheapest option.
